• Entrants must be 13 years old or older to participate in the Design Your Whirled Contest.
• Entries may use any item in the Whirled Shop to create their room. Creating your own original items is encouraged, but not required.
• Individual rooms and multi-room Groups will both be considered.
• No copyrighted materials can be used in any way.
• Multiple entries are allowed.
• The contest is open to international entrants.
• No purchase necessary to enter contest.

A Contest For Life

Contest is open to all visual mediums, all ages (over 13) and all locations (Permissions have been granted to make an exception to our age restrictions for prints for the purpose of this competition). Contest ends 11:59:59 PM on November 28th, 2008.

Your submission must be a minimum of 2400×3600 pixels to make a 24×36 print quality image. You can set the image on display in your gallery as smaller. However, if selected as one of the 40 semi-finalists, you will be required to make the image available as a print that will be sold in the PiNKiTUDE shop.

The theme is up to your interpretation. However, it should be representative of PiNKiTUDE in some way.

Your work can be done digitally or traditionally. Whatever medium your little heart desires!

The materials provided in the "download pack" link above can only be used in entries and not for any other purpose, but are not required to be used to qualify.

Texaco Childrens Art Competition

Started on 1955 this contest can probably no longer be viewed simply as a commercial sponsorship, it has acquired the status of an institution and it is a testament to the enduring innocence of childhood and to the power and inventiveness of a child's imagination. To enter, you must be under 19 years of age by Friday, 27th February 2009 and you must be resident on the island of Ireland. You may enter up to two pieces of artwork. Your entry can be about anything that interests you. Your entry should not be smaller than A4 (29.7cm x 21.0cm) or larger than A2 (59.4cm x 42.0cm). You may use any type of paper, white, coloured, rough or smooth. The work that you submit may be drawn or painted in pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, crayon, pastel, watercolour, gouache, acrylics, oils, poster colour and collage. Alternatively, it may be submitted in digital format in any artwork software. Prints created from a lino block, wood blocks or any other methods may also be submitted. Your work should be original and unaided. Do not copy another person’s work. Young artists who receive first, second and third prize and special merit awards in each of the seven categories will be invited to the Awards Ceremony which will be held in Dublin each year.

The rules are simple: create a design that features an animal, get the most positive feedback, and collect your money. Who ever gets the most positive votes wins.
